About Parti Gastronomi

Parti Gastronomi is a collective that focuses on gastronomic practices as a meeting point between food, culture, and community. Founded on a deep interest in sustainability, the origins of ingredients, and the social relationships formed through cooking and shared meals, Parti Gastronomi views the kitchen and the dining table as spaces of knowledge and dialogue. Its programs are designed to offer culinary experiences that are reflective, contextual, and inclusive for the public.

Over time, Parti Gastronomi has consistently explored local food sources, sustainable cultivation practices, and the stories of communities behind each ingredient and recipe. Drawing inspiration from Indonesia’s long-standing traditions of communal dining, each activity emphasises not only the final dish but also the process, from understanding where ingredients come from to methods of preparation and the conversations that emerge among participants. This approach positions gastronomy as a living, educational experience rooted in everyday life.

Parti Gastronomi frequently collaborates with farmers, culinary practitioners, artists, researchers, and cross-disciplinary communities to create programs that are both experimental and grounded.
