Educators' Forum is a twice-yearly gathering for art educators from all levels, and provides a platform for discussions that center on teaching art in the classroom. The focus group provides behind-the-scenes access to curators, artists, and the Museum’s collection. The gathering is free and open to educators across Indonesia. 

The October edition of Educators' Forum will be held on Thursday, 5 October 2023 at 01.00–04.30 PM (GMT+7) at Museum MACAN and 02.00–04.30 PM (GMT+7) for live streaming via Zoom Meeting. This session will be conducted in bahasa Indonesia.

Project-based learning (PBL) is a dynamic and student-centered approach characterized by students' autonomy, constructive investigations, goal-setting, collaborative teamwork, effective communication, and reflective practices within real-world contexts. This approach has been extensively explored across a range of educational contexts, spanning from primary to higher education levels.

With the introduction of Indonesia's Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, schools are now encouraged to embrace PBL across all subjects, not just in art education. This transition poses a significant challenge for Indonesian schools as it entails adopting a different approach than the previous curriculum.

In this Educator Forum, the importance of PBL will be emphasized, along with discussions on how to implement this approach in all school systems in Indonesia effectively. Educators will explore strategies for designing and implementing projects that align with curriculum objectives, while also considering the diverse needs and abilities of their students.
