About the Program
‘Ngabuburit’ is a Sundanese term referring to light activities done while waiting for the evening call to prayers to break the fast. During the month of Ramadan, Museum MACAN Education Team will host a series of weekly family activities called Ngabuburit di MACAN.
These activities will include workshops (closed session on ZOOM), tour for children, and an online storytelling session (live from Museum MACAN's YouTube channel).

Online Tour for Children 09.00–10.00 AM
The Tour returns with a special session to explore children’s activities from 'Present Continuous / Sekarang Seterusnya'; 'Tromarama: The Lost Jungl' and 'Theresia Agustina Sitompul: Kembara Biru' exhibitions.
During the workshop, we will learn the techniques of carbon printing and media explorations inspired by 'Theresia Agustina Sitompul: Traveling Blues' exhibition with Museum MACAN's Education Team. Participating audience is requested to prepared these materials:
Paper;
Carbon paper;
Gauze bandage;
Used or everyday objects as tracing materials (leaves, buttons/coins, socks, etc.;
Spoon;
Pencil;
Scissors;
Paper tape.
Suitable for children from 5 to 13 years old, family, and educators.
This Online Storytelling session will explore Mira Rizki Present Continuous, particularly Mira Rizki’s Raging Blare of the Inhabitants (2021) artwork at 'Present Continuous / Sekarang Seterusnya' exhibition that departs from the notion of soundscape in the city. Suitable for children aged 5–12 years old, this will be an interactive storytelling session that seeks to engage children with the sounds from their neighborhood.
