In this final online discussion for 'Stories Across Rising Lands' exhibition, curator Asep Topan will be joined by three artists from the exhibition. The exhibition reflects on the diversity and geographic spread of the region, by emphasizing personal and fragmented connections to history and politics, observed through the perspectives of artists.

This discussion will explore the development of the respective artist’s practices, through the role that media and the mediation of history, society and politics, also broadcast and internet technologies has had on their works. Have their generational experience of media impacted how they appreciate the local, regional, and global context of Southeast Asia? In our current daily experience, marked by physical distancing, can they imagine new forms of media connectivity that could help define the social and cultural connections with a place?
