Video Montage Workshop and Open Review for Emerging Practitioners
A 3-day workshop and open review program for video practitioner with Tromarama and Studio Antelope.
02.07.2020 – 04.07.2020
Program Overview
In the digital era, technology has an important role in creative accessibility. Within minutes, everyone can create a video with only a smartphone camera and the applications installed in it. This workshop has a purpose of improving the participant’s knowledge and skills through content creation and curation as well as understanding artistic direction strategy from two different perspectives - visual art and film industry.
At the end of the workshop, participants are expected to realize the importance of content selection and artistic direction, its relations to meaning which is relevant to the context, as well as awareness of effective research approach and practice method to design, produce and publish a video montage. The knowledge and skill gained from this workshop is expected to hone the video creating skills that the participants have had before.
This program is designed in line with the exhibition of Manifesto (2015), a 13-channel video installation by German artist Julian Rosefeldt at Museum MACAN. This program is presented by Museum MACAN and Goethe-Institut Indonesia, and is powered by Cisco.
