Give the Gift of Education!

Join our Education Supporter Drive and gift a field trip to Museum MACAN to a class of up to 50 students from a Jakarta-based school. This program aims to support cultural participation from students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Museum MACAN will chooses schools based on a needs basis and is committed to diversity.

For IDR 2.500.000 a class of up to 50 students will receive entry to the museum, including lunch and bus transportation, and a full program led by the museum’s educators. In addition, teachers will be invited to all of our regular online and in person Teacher and Educator Forums, where they will meet other teachers and educators from across the country. 

Our Education Supporters will be acknowledged for 1 year, in the following ways:

• On a video screen ‘honor roll’ near the museum’s Children Art Space;
• On Museum MACAN website — included in the regular newsletter sent to educators, members, and other Education Supporters. 

Our Target:
We are aiming to support 2,000 students annually through this program. Every pledge of support will help us to reach this target! 

Why support Museum MACAN?
Since 2017 we have welcomed more than 280,000 students and teachers who have participated in our education programs. We have strengthened teacher and school engagement through online outreach. In 2021 and 2022, we have had 181 school participants, 485 teacher participants, and 3,835 student beneficiaries.

Through our regular Educator Forums, we provide network and support for teachers across the country–which has been an invaluable resource to share information and support throughout the pandemic.

To date, our education activities have reached schools in 23 of Indonesia's 34 provinces, or 67.6% Indonesia's geography by province. With ongoing support, we can expect to see continued growth in the national access to quality art education programming.
