Little Architects: Discovering Indonesia’s Traditional Houses is part of the Museum MACAN Children’s Art Space public program—Ibu Arsitek: UMA. Developed as an architectural education program for children, this workshop also introduces local architectural wisdom that align with Indonesia’s landscape. Through a series of interactive activities, children and families are invited to build traditional houses together.
Guided by Ibu Arsitek and the Museum MACAN Education team, children can gain a deeper understanding of the role of an architect and explore the diversity of traditional architecture, the landscape, and their sensory experiences.
Each participant will build a model of the traditional Sasadu House from Maluku using cardboard and explore color using art tools such as color pencils and crayons.
