In his artistic practice, Korakrit Arunanondchai often incorporates organic mediums, such as soil and plants in his artworks. Natural elements become an important component in conveying his narrative about the relationship between humans and the nature, culture, and spiritual surroundings.
Sonic Signals: Plant Music Workshop & Performance features Bottlesmoker, musical duo from Bandung who blends electronic, traditional, and organic elements into a symphony, highlighting the interplay between nature and music. Bio-plant Sonic is one of Bottlesmoker's signature work, creating a unique electronic musical instrument where the sounds are produced from plants.
This program is divided into two sessions. The first session will consist of a workshop where participants can create their own musical composition and instrument using plants, followed by a mini-performance/free jam session with the participants. The second part will consist of a Bio-plant Sonic Ambient performance by Bottlesmoker.
