This immersive workshop invites participants to explore the intersection of scent, materiality, and memory through the creation of scent stones. Inspired by the Japanese art of Suiseki—the appreciation of natural stones as aesthetic and philosophical objects—this workshop introduces the craft of making scent-absorbing stones using Conture’s proprietary Dry Cement material.
Participants will engage in a hands-on experience of working with sustainable materials while reflecting on how scents evoke memories, emotions, and personal narratives. This session blends elements of design, craftsmanship, and sensory exploration, offering a unique way to engage with everyday objects.
