Going Beyond Green: Sustainability in Creative Practice
Bringing together practitioners from public policy, fashion, and documentary photography, this session explores a transdisciplinary approach to issues around sustainability.
29.07.2023
About the Program
Awareness around sustainability and the climate crisis has expanded beyond its environmental context and permeated into broader domains, such as economics, public policy, arts, and the creative industries. Such awareness does not only manifest in calls for environmentally-friendly lifestyle, but also raise discussions on the importance of circularity and community engagements.
The past decade has seen a shifting global trend towards sustainable living. However, there are still many challenges to implementing the green/zero-waste lifestyle, meaningfully engaging with communities to create impactful changes, and accessing more resources to learn about environmentally mindful practices.
Through a presentation series and discussion format, this session will serve as a sharing platform, involving practitioners from various fields to explore the following questions: how can we form environmentally mindful creative practices? How can creative practice contribute to and drive socio-ecological change? How can we sustain the movement?
