Presenting leaders from four Southeast Asian art institutions, this program will discuss about the issues faced by respective institutions during the pandemic and the ways they handle those challenges through connecting with each other.
Discussing strategic foresights from institutions, the role of government, aid from private stakeholder and support from community for the arts, this panel discussion will highlight local “fine grains” from respective countries/cities to stay together and revive.
How does the spirit of adversity and resilience translate into leadership and programs in overcoming the pandemic in Southeast Asian context? How has value, measurement and approach changed in 2020? What are the lessons from a year-long survival from the art sector? Does the impact bring radical takeaways for the future of art sector and society?
This panel discussion will present speakers:

Alia Swastika (Director, Yayasan Biennale Yogyakarta , Indonesia);
Joselina Cruz (Director, Museum of Contemporary Art and Design, Filipina);
Russell Storer (Director, Curatorial and Collections, National Gallery, Singapore).
Moderated by Benjamin Hampe (Project Director, ASEAN Foundation).
