The workshop will focus on introducing Chiharu Shiota’s emotionally rigorous artistic process and practices. She uses threads, primarily of red, black, and white color to create massive, dream-like installations that occupy spaces as if providing a cocoon for visitors.
Weave your feelings and stories into threads! During the two-hour workshop, Louisiana Limono of KAIT Handmade will guide you tie and intertwine the threads using Kumihimo technique, a traditional Japanese braiding method, to create a bracelet or necklace that you can wear.
Suitable for all ages (adults, teenagers, children). Children below 12, must be chaperoned by parents or guardians.
