Sing Dance Cry Breathe — what better way to feel these emotions than with a theatrical performance?
13—15.12.2024
About the Program
Korakrit Arunanondchai sees his art as a form of storytelling and believes in its transformative potential. His storytelling practice aims to fill the narrative gaps that connect the many complex experiences and issues found in everyday human life. As conveyed through his artworks, he often highlights universal themes such as memory, love, loss, and the unseen forces that connect and drive them all.
Expanding on these narratives and the power of storytelling, we invite audiences to indulge in a theatrical performance by local independent theater, Teater Pandora. Popularly known for their site-specific #MempermainkanRuang movement where they push the boundaries of conventional theater spaces, Teater Pandora will bring the story of Constellations to life in Museum MACAN.
Synopsis
Constellations follows the journey of Roland and Marianne, two souls navigating their lives filled with ups and downs—love and loss—across infinite universes and possibilities.
The story of Constellations is an adaptation of the same-titled script by English playwright, Nick Payne. This program is an Indonesian translation as well as the first ever staging of Constellations in Indonesia that is officially recognized by Nick Payne’s licensing agency, Curtis Brown.
